Transform your outfit with our Bronze Beauty Necklace with Carved Palm Tree Cowry Shell Pendant. The pendant we took beautiful bronze anodized aluminum rings and paired them with a delicate cowry shell pendant that has two palm trees carved in it. If you can't under the palm trees, carry them with you.

The shimmer of the bronze rings dances off the browns and tans as well cream of the cowry shell. We made it a double lined necklace and made the pendant sit on top of one of the bronze strands for a shimmering effect. We think it helps to bring the chains and the pendant together nicely.

What is anodized aluminum? The aluminum alloy used is 95% aluminum and 5% magnesium; this creates a ring that is approx. 2/3rds the strength of steel but 1/3rd the weight. Anodizing is a process that adds a hard finish to the ring that gives it its color. The finish is corrosion resistant and can stand up to most damage without flaking, cutting or grinding on the ring with another hard metal surface (grooved pliers, scissors, etc.…) and acids like chlorine will cause damage. Combined this means you have rings that are light, strong and resistant to most forms of common wear and tear. Cleaning should be handled with water and non-acidic soap.

Cowry or cowrie shell- is the common name for a group of small to large sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries. The shells of cowries are usually smooth and shiny and more or less egg-shaped, with a flat under surface which shows a long, narrow, slit-like opening (aperture), which is often toothed at the edges. The narrower end of the egg-shaped cowry shell is the anterior end. The spire of the shell is not visible in the adult shell of most species but is visible in juveniles, which have a different shape from the adults.

Nearly all cowries have a porcelain-like shine, with some exceptions such as Hawaii's granulated cowry, Nucleolaria granulata. Many have colorful patterns. Lengths range from 5 mm for some species up to 19 cm for the Atlantic deer cowry, Macrocypraea cervus.

Other Information:

Try not to wear your jewelry if you are going to be working out sweating too much, going into the ocean, when taking a shower or bath, or doing the dishes. Sometimes we forget to rinse off our jewelry after these activities or to let them air dry or dry thoroughly which can start to do extra damage over time.

Please remember that since this is a handcrafted item there can be some small tool marks (scuffs) on the piece, please remember this when purchasing. Any ring with obvious damage is not used; however, I endeavor to prevent any scuffs and marring.
