This Simply Intriguing Black Ice Celtic Wings Bracelet is very sleek and will give an extra bump to your wardrobe. This bracelet is made with alluring black ice Anodized Aluminum rings which means it is tarnish resistant and will not rust, and are hypoallergenic which is great for those that have an allergy to some metals. These rings are what we call twisted which gives them an interesting look when making jewelry. Clean with very mild soap and warm water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
The Celtic Wings weave is constructed by creating a 2-2-2-2 chain of alternating large and small rings, then fitting two small rings into each set of large rings and securing them using large rings on either side passing between, but not through, the larger rings in the base chain. Alternatively, it can be constructed by creating 1-2-1 units of large-small-large and sandwiching between the large rings of a 2-2-2-2 chain of alternating large and small as the chain is built. It is similar to helm chain and can be called a variation on it.
What is anodized aluminum? The aluminum alloy used is 95% aluminum and 5% magnesium; this creates a ring that is approx. 2/3rds the strength of steel but 1/3rd the weight. Anodizing is a process that adds a hard finish to the ring that gives it it’s color. The finish is corrosion resistant and can stand up to most damage without flaking, cutting or grinding on the ring with another hard metal surface (grooved pliers, scissors, etc…) and acids like chlorine will cause damage. Combined this means you have rings that are light, strong and resistant to most forms of common wear and tear. Cleaning should be handled with water and nonacidic soap.
Try not to wear your jewelry if you are going to be working out sweating too much, going into the ocean, when taking a shower or bath, or doing the dishes. Sometimes we forget to rinse off our jewelry after these activities or to let them air dry or dry thoroughly which can start to do extra damage over time.
Please remember that since this is a handcrafted item there can be some small tool marks (scuffs) on the piece, please remember this when purchasing. Any ring with obvious damage is not used; however, I endeavor to prevent any scuffs and marring.
